Job Store Staffing is seeking a MIG Welder for our client in Colorado Springs!

This is a hands-on role for an experienced sheet metal MIG Welder who takes pride in producing clean, accurate welds in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with thin gauge materials, interpreting shop drawings, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced production setting. Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:30pm-12:00am

Overtime may be required, including weekends

Pay Rate: $20-23/hour

Duration: Long term temporary, with possibility of permanent hire

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform MIG welding on sheet metal components and assemblies
  • Weld thin gauge steel and stainless steel materials while maintaining quality and minimizing distortion
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
  • Fit, tack, and assemble sheet metal parts to specification
  • Use hand and power tools such as grinders, clamps, measuring devices, and layout tools
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance
  • Troubleshoot minor welding equipment issues and make basic adjustments as needed
  • Accurately complete production paperwork, travelers, and inspection checklists
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2+ years of experience as a welder (preferably in industrial setting)
  • Must be able to pass a weld test
  • Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and basic fabrication math
  • Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
