Job Store Staffing is seeking a MIG Welder for our client in Colorado Springs!
This is a hands-on role for an experienced sheet metal MIG Welder who takes pride in producing clean, accurate welds in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with thin gauge materials, interpreting shop drawings, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced production setting. Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:30pm-12:00am
Overtime may be required, including weekends
Pay Rate: $20-23/hour
Duration: Long term temporary, with possibility of permanent hire
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform MIG welding on sheet metal components and assemblies
Weld thin gauge steel and stainless steel materials while maintaining quality and minimizing distortion
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
Fit, tack, and assemble sheet metal parts to specification
Use hand and power tools such as grinders, clamps, measuring devices, and layout tools
Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance
Troubleshoot minor welding equipment issues and make basic adjustments as needed
Accurately complete production paperwork, travelers, and inspection checklists
Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards
Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years of experience as a welder (preferably in industrial setting)
Must be able to pass a weld test
Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
Familiarity with measuring tools and basic fabrication math
Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
