Position: MIG Welder (2nd Shift) Location: Suwanee, GA 30024 Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM Pay: $21.72/hr Job Type: Temp to Hire
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to support our client's production operations in Suwanee, GA by performing quality welds on metal components to meet production and safety standards. This role works closely with fabrication and production teams to ensure consistent output, structural integrity, and on-time completion of work orders.
Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding on metal components based on work orders and specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
Set up welding equipment and ensure proper machine settings for each job
Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and quality standards
Grind, clean, and prep materials before and after welding
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Assist with general fabrication or production tasks as needed
Must Haves:
1-2 years of MIG welding experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurements
Experience using welding tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work a 10-hour shift on 2nd shift schedule
Reliable transportation
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Ability to perform basic measurements and use inspection tools
Experience working with different metal types and thicknesses
