- Welding Large Diesel Tanks
- Must be comfortable working on your knees when building outer walls/frames of the tanks
- Reading and understanding American and European Blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols.
- Using GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW to weld weldments, tanks, and metal parts together.
- Performing welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum,
- Hand layouts of weldments with little or no supervision or assistance.
- Using fixtures, gauges, and jigs to manufacture welded parts.
- Assisting with creating work instructions
- Completing first piece, in process, and final inpsections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures.
- Pressue testing fuel tanks and hydro testing glycol tanks
- Analyzing weld processes and recommending process improvements
Experience needed:
1-3 years of GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW experience preferrabled in a job shop
