MIG Welder

• Welding Large Diesel Tanks
• Must be comfortable working on your knees when building outer walls/frames of the tanks
• Reading and understanding American and European Blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols.
• Using GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW to weld weldments, tanks, and metal parts together.
• Performing welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum,
• Hand layouts of weldments with little or no supervision or assistance.
• Using fixtures, gauges, and jigs to manufacture welded parts.
• Assisting with creating work instructions
• Completing first piece, in process, and final inpsections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures.
• Pressue testing fuel tanks and hydro testing glycol tanks
• Analyzing weld processes and recommending process improvements

Experience needed:

1-3 years of GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW experience preferrabled in a job shop

• Blueprint Reading
