Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Welder to join a busy manufacturing and fabrication team in Oklahoma City. This night-shift position is responsible for performing MIG welding and fabrication work on steel and other metal components while maintaining established safety, quality, and production standards.
The ideal candidate has previous industrial welding experience, can accurately read measurements and work instructions, and is comfortable working extended shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Required Experience & Skills
Previous welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment
Hands-on MIG welding experience
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
Basic shop math and measurement skills
Experience operating welding and fabrication equipment
Ability to read and follow work orders, blueprints, and production specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to follow all company safety procedures
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work extended night shifts and Saturdays as required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on steel and other metal components according to production requirements
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, measurements, and fabrication specifications
Set up and safely operate welding equipment
Operate grinders and other fabrication tools as required
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and workmanship standards are met
Identify and report weld defects, material concerns, or equipment issues
Assist with fabrication and assembly activities as needed
Support material handling and production operations throughout the shift
Meet established production and quality expectations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow standard work procedures and job safety requirements
Communicate clearly with supervisors and production team members
Perform additional welding, fabrication, and production duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous production MIG welding experience
Structural or industrial fabrication experience
Blueprint and weld symbol reading experience
Experience using grinders and other metal fabrication tools
Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments
Strong mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and repetitive physical activity
Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working in varying temperatures and industrial conditions
Ability to perform physically demanding fabrication work throughout a 12-hour shift
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing and welding environment
Regular exposure to welding equipment, steel materials, grinders, fabrication tools, and production machinery
Fast-paced setting focused on safety, quality, and production efficiency
Extended night-shift schedule with Saturday hours
Work may involve varying temperatures and physically demanding production conditions
