Migration Support Analyst

Responsibilities

• Provide application support for a Mainframe-to-Cloud Lift-and-Shift migration.

Requirements

• Experience with Linux Server Administration (Red Hat and SUSE) including command-line, patching, upgrades, and software install/deploy capabilities.
• Experience using Rocket Enterprise Server (formerly Micro Focus) to administer the platform that hosts COBOL workloads on Linux.
• Exposure to Rocket Enterprise Developer (sufficient familiarity to support the environment, even though the role is admin-focused).
• AWS experience including a solid understanding of operating Linux workloads in an AWS environment.

Preferred

• DB2 and Teradata interface experience.
• Background supporting Mainframe-to-Cloud Lift-and-Shift migrations.
• Comfortable working with COBOL, JCL, and control cards in a modernized Linux context.
