    KBR is building a pipeline of qualified and passionate Military Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) in anticipation of future opportunities supporting the Department of Defense's Military and Family Life Counseling Program.

    While we are not actively hiring for specific MFLC positions at this time, we are seeking licensed behavioral health professionals interested in future opportunities to support military service members, their families, children, and military communities worldwide.

    About the Military Family Life Counselor Program

    Military service members and their families face unique challenges associated with military life, including frequent relocations, deployments, reintegration, family transitions, and the demands of military readiness. MFLC professionals provide confidential, non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling, consultation, and outreach services designed to strengthen resilience, enhance wellbeing, and support mission readiness.

    Potential Responsibilities

    Future MFLC opportunities may include:

    • Providing confidential, non-medical counseling to service members, spouses, children, and families.
    • Delivering short-term, solution-focused support and consultation services.
    • Conducting outreach activities and building relationships within military communities.
    • Presenting trainings, workshops, and wellness programs to military audiences.
    • Supporting military families through transitions such as relocation, deployment, reintegration, and school changes.
    • Collaborating with installation leadership, family support organizations, schools, and community resources.
    • Participating in health fairs, community events, and resilience-building initiatives.
    • Providing referrals and resource navigation when appropriate.
    • Maintaining compliance with Department of Defense program requirements and standards.

    Desired Qualifications

    Qualified candidates will typically possess:

    • Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.

    • Independent, unrestricted clinical licensure such as:

    • LCSW

    • LICSW

    • LMFT

    • LPC

    • LCPC

    • LMHC

    • Psychologist

    • Equivalent independent clinical license

    • Experience providing counseling or behavioral health services.

    • Ability to work effectively with military populations and diverse communities.

    • Strong presentation, consultation, and relationship-building skills.

    • Ability to obtain and maintain any required background investigations or government credentials.

    Military affiliation, military spouse experience, veteran status, or prior MFLC experience are highly valued but not required.
