SNCs Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.

NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and management of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions.
  • Prepare detailed bid packages and establish robust evaluation criteria for subcontract proposals.
  • Analyze and evaluate complex subcontractor proposals for compliance with technical and financial requirements.
  • Lead negotiations of subcontract provisions, including terms, price, and schedule, to secure favorable agreements.
  • Administer a variety of subcontract types, such as Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M) and an understanding of more complex contracting types such as Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF).
  • Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and deliverables.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of subcontract agreements, amendments, and performance data.
  • Select and recommend new subcontractors based on thorough evaluation and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align subcontract management with project and program goals.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies, industry standards, and federal regulations throughout the subcontract lifecycle, including the ability to understand the applicability of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clause flow downs in a subcontract.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Currently serving as ACTIVE DUTY military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
  • Bachelors degree in a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in a related role
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
  • Advanced proficiency in subcontract management principles and methodologies
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Extensive experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Expertise in procurement and subcontract management software
  • Advanced certification in supply chain management [e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM)]

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
  • Hand and finger dexterity for data entry and document review
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally for supplier and subcontractor meetings
  • Good at critically thinking through scenarios to solve a variety of complex subcontract related challenges
