Job Summary:
The Milk Lab Technician prepares, labels, stores, and delivers all feedings in the NICU and other assigned areas, including human milk (expressed breast milk, and pasteurized donor human milk) and ready-to-feed formula. They calculate, prepare, and monitor specialized formulas, human milk, and medical nutrition supplements. They adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, perform inventory management, operate feeding preparation equipment, maintain documentation and bar-coded safety systems, ensure sanitation in the preparation room, and complete quality improvement and record-keeping tasks.

Ability to read, write, and perform necessary mathematical tasks acquired through a high school diploma. Must have the ability to pass a math competency test. Must demonstrate basic computer skills. Must have interpersonal skills which are necessary to gather and share information with the multidisciplinary team in a courteous and professional manner.
