- Reporting to the Director of NICU
- Holy Cross's NICU is known for focusing on our patients' needs and we combine compassionate care. The Milk Technician will calculate, prepares, delivers and monitors human milk, infant formulas, specialized infant formulas and medical nutritional supplements.
Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all food safety and sanitation regulations and standards established by regulating agencies, Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
- Performs inventory management, operates feeding preparation equipment, maintains sanitation in the feeding preparation room, performs quality improvement activities, completes temperature/sanitization records and communicates information through various modes.
- This position will interface with the NICU Resource Coordinator, Director and Charge Nurse regularly.
What you will need:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a technician in NICU strongly preferred
- Previous clerical experience preferred
- Basic word processing skills
- Ability to write, speak, and comprehend the English language
- Basic mathematical skills required.
