American Workforce Group has partnered with a nation-leading sawmill in Shelton, WA to hire dedicated, full-time Mill Laborers. Secure a dependable Monday-Thursday 4-day schedule, starting pay at $21.75/hr, and access to state-approved Electrical and Maintenance Apprenticeships after rollover!

Description for Mill Laborer:

  • Pull green chain, sort, and hand-stack dimensioned lumber products safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with general mill production tasks, line clearance, and raw material staging as assigned.
  • Maintain high situational awareness near automated equipment and strictly follow core safety guidelines.
  • Keep processing areas orderly, remove scrap debris, and support overall facility cleanliness.

Details for Mill Laborer:

  • Pay Rate: $21.75 / hour (Overtime available on Fridays during busy seasons).
  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 4-Day Workweek (Fridays & Weekends Off!).
  • Shift Options: Day Shift (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM) OR Swing Shift (4:30 PM – 3:00 AM).
  • Location: Shelton, WA.
  • Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire.

Requirements for Mill Laborer:

  • Prior mill, timber, or heavy industrial experience is a plus, but not required—we will train!
  • Physical capability to handle heavy industrial labor, stand for 10-hour shifts, bend, and lift 50–75 lbs consistently.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, zero-shortcut mindset, and team collaboration.
  • Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and reliable personal transportation.
