The Mill Machinist at Triumph Geared Solutions - Macomb is responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of Mill machines in the Mill Department. The Mill Machinist must be able to produce high-quality products according to Triumph Gear Systems Mill Department operations manual.
Duties/Responsibilities
Clock in & out of appropriate job operations
Read and interpret blueprints
Adhere to job plans per job travelers
Set-up multiple types of jobs
Operate all mills and associated machines as assigned
Basic Maintenance of mills
First part quality inspections
Use precision measurement equipment
Consistently produce quality parts
Adhere to directions and instructions of direct supervisor
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
5 years' experience with set-up and operation of CNC Mill
Knowledgeable of set-up requirements and operation of a horizontal and vertical CNC milling equipment
Must be capable of reading blueprints, and manage job orders to required specifications
Familiar with Fanuc controls and concepts of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
Physical Requirements
Ability to use hand tools.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, or stretching
Work may require bending, carrying, lifting up to 25 pounds, pulling, pushing, and standing.
Assistance is required for lifting over 25 pounds.
