Do you enjoy tracking down a stubborn electrical fault, rebuilding a hydraulic component, and getting critical machines back up safely and fast? If you bring your own tools, a safety-first mindset, and experience with industrial or forestry equipment, this role is for you.
Work under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to keep sawmill and production equipment operating. You will diagnose, repair, and prevent failures while partnering closely with operations to reduce downtime.
Expect an industrial plant setting with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate-to-high noise levels. You will regularly lift and move equipment components, tools, and materials up to 50 pounds. The role involves exposure to outdoor temperatures, weather, wood waste/dust, oils, and lubricants. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stair climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and working in tight or confined spaces and awkward positions to access and repair machinery. Visual demands include close and distance vision and depth perception.
Swing shift: Monday–Thursday, 1:30 PM–12:00 AM. We are open to discussing shift and hours.
