Milling Crew Laborer

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Milling Crew Laborer from $20.00 to $35.00 per hour to assist with asphalt milling operations on various projects. The role involves supporting surface preparation, cleanup, traffic control, and equipment maintenance to facilitate the safe and efficient removal of asphalt before paving. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working in physically demanding outdoor environments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist in setting up and dismantling milling equipment and traffic control signs
- Clear debris from milled surfaces using brooms, blowers, or shovels
- Provide ground guidance and aid equipment operators with material handling
- Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and safety equipment
- Flag traffic or assist with lane closures following DOT or site guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the worksite
- Follow directives from the Milling Foreman and communicate effectively with team members
- Adhere to company and OSHA safety standards, wear appropriate PPE
- Perform general labor tasks to support milling operations
- Carry out any additional duties as assigned

**Qualifications/Requirements:**

- Prior experience on a road crew or in a milling operation is advantageous but not mandatory
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work standing for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and around heavy machinery
- Strong focus on safety and capacity to follow instructions
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance are essential
- Possession of a CDL license is a bonus
- Flexibility to work long hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
- Willingness to travel overnight for projects outside the local area
