Millwork Construction Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Millwork Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for custom millwork projects. This role plays a critical part in supporting business growth by analyzing project requirements, developing competitive bids, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project planning and execution.

Description

• Estimating: Prepare detailed estimates and quantity takeoffs for custom millwork, casework, cabinetry, and architectural woodworking projects.

• Drawings: Review architectural drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements.

• Team Leadership: Collaborate with project management, production, and operations teams during the preconstruction process.

• Safety Compliance: Identify project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.

• Documentation: Maintain estimating databases, pricing records, and historical cost information.

• Quality Control: Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within required deadlines.

Profile

• Previous experience estimating architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, casework, commercial interiors, or related construction projects.

• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

• Thorough understanding of millwork materials, fabrication methods, and construction processes.

• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple bid opportunities and competing deadlines simultaneously.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software is preferred.

• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
