Overview
Aluminum Dynamics Inc. is seeking construction utilities and future operators for our Columbus Mississippi area green field state-of-the-art Aluminum UBC Recycling and Casting facility. Successful applicants will provide construction support, unloading equipment, light fabrication, and installing equipment. The position will transition into Mobile equipment and Operator positions as commissioning, and startup begins in transportation, material handling, melting, and casting areas.
Mechanical maintenance in various areas of the mill. Working with the department Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, Maintenance Coordinators, Milltechs, Electricians, Shift Supervisors, and Operators to drive the department production goals. Focus will be on safety and assisting operations as needed to ensure uptime and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Good communication skills with an ability to work within a team environment.
- Operating mobile equipment, troubleshooting and repairing systems: (Combustion systems, fluid power systems, mechanical power transmission systems, water systems, pneumatic systems, etc.).
- This position requires a strong ability to lead and perform repairs to the departmental equipment
Qualifications
- An excellent safety and attendance record
- Previous mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, grease systems, gearing, gear alignment, rigging, overhead cranes, pendant cranes, and precision instruments.
- Fabrication skills that include torching, welding, and blueprint reading.
Preferred:
- A basic understanding of PLC's, HMI's, and electromechanical equipment that will aid in troubleshooting with the caster electrical maintenance team.
- Technical training and certifications
