Millwright Journeyman
SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Millwright Journeyman that will be responsible for dismantling, erecting, assembling, aligning, adjusting, and/or maintaining machinery and equipment according to installation manuals, work instructions, layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Dismantle and assemble machines using hand and power tools
Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
Align machines and equipment using various tools and instruments
Operate cranes, forklifts, hoists, lift trucks, and other equipment
Install and maintain lubrication systems on machines
Handle major components during offloading and installation
Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Minimum three (3) years of related experience
Current driver's license
Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; detail-oriented with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills
Strong teamwork orientation with active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback
Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements*
Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
