Mine Closure and Permitting Consultant - Anchorage, AK, U.S.ASRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector.We are seeking a Mine Closure and Permitting Consultant.ResponsibilitiesConsult on projects for Alaska and North American clients, with some travelComplete assignments primarily related to the mining industry, specifically:Mine permittingReclamation and environmental studiesPreparation of proposals and cost estimationsConduct project management, environmental audits and prepare due diligence reportsQualificationsUndergraduate degree in the physical sciences (e.g., geology or environmental science) or engineering (e.g., civil, mining, environmental or geological)Minimum of 7 years' experience in the mining industry; consulting, operational or regulatory experience preferredMine closure and reclamation experienceKnowledge of local regulations as well as federal environmental permit programs is a plusEffective communication, management and leadership qualitiesAbility to establish and maintain client relationshipsEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO) makes it illegal to discriminate against job applicants or employees because of their race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, transgender status, and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, veteran/military status, protected medical leaves, political affiliation, or genetic information.
