McEwen Inc. currently has a vacancy at the Fox Complex Site in Matheson, Ontario for a Mine Maintenance Planner.

Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mine Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of underground mobile and fixed equipment. This role acts as the critical link between operations, maintenance, supply chain, and technical services, ensuring all maintenance work is properly planned, resources are organized, and downtime is minimized. Other duties will be assigned as per operational needs. The list of duties and responsibilities below is not exclusive or exhaustive, and the employee will be required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position. All employees are required to be professional, cooperative, and flexible in line with the requirements of the position.

Key Responsibilities

Operational / Technical Execution

  • Develop detailed weekly and long-range maintenance plans for underground equipment (mobile fleet, auxiliary gear, electrical, dewatering, ventilation, crushers, conveyors, etc.).
  • Create accurate work orders including job steps, parts, tools, labor requirements, and safety considerations.
  • Prioritize maintenance tasks based on equipment condition, criticality, and production needs.
  • Prepare maintenance schedules and coordinate with operations to secure equipment availability.
  • Review incoming work requests and convert them to well-scoped work orders.
  • Ensure job plans reflect OEM recommendations, site standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track work order progress and close-out quality, ensuring notes, delays, and follow-up tasks are documented.
  • Identify required parts, assemblies, consumables, and special tooling for each job.
  • Work closely with supply chain to ensure materials are procured, staged, and delivered before work begins.
  • Coordinate contractor services when needed and ensure proper documentation and onboarding.
  • Analyze equipment history, breakdown trends, and maintenance performance metrics.
  • Support reliability initiatives, root cause analysis, and condition-based monitoring.
  • Optimize PM strategies and improve job plans based on feedback and performance.

General Administration and Controls

  • Ensure all maintenance work aligns with safety regulations, mine health & safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate equipment files, PM schedules, and maintenance documentation in CMMS.
  • Develop and update standard job procedures, checklists, and work instructions.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly planning/scheduling meetings with supervisors, engineers, and operations personnel.
  • Communicate schedule changes, equipment downtime plans, and resource requirements to all stakeholders.
  • Work closely with underground operations to balance production demands with maintenance needs.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Valid drivers license and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Experience with D365 and PMXpert is an asset.
  • Ontario underground common core is an asset.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to work safely, efficiently, and always maintain a safety conscious mentality within the Mining environment.
  • Good safety knowledge and understanding with the ability to recognize, reduce or eliminate hazards and situations that may cause problems.
  • Self-motivated person, with a positive attitude and possesses strong organizational and time management skills whether under supervision or unsupervised.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of departments/roles.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail, work under pressure, and manage while meeting specified deadlines in a fast moving and demanding environment.
  • The ability to work positively with a team of professional and technical people in a changing, creative, and energetic environment is critical.
  • Excellent communications skills, as well as competency in computer applications, such as: Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000 Salary will be commensurate with experience, qualifications and skills.
