Overview
The Mineral Management Associate is responsible for supporting client engagements related to mineral ownership, lease analysis, and title review. This role is highly client-facing and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a working knowledge of oil and gas operations. Ideal candidates may come from land, division order, or related industry backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze leases, title opinions, and legal documents to determine ownership interests
- Support lease negotiation reviews and interpret key contractual terms
- Research and resolve ownership and title discrepancies
- Communicate directly with clients, landmen, operators, and attorneys
- Prepare client deliverables and summaries of findings
- Maintain mineral ownership records and systems data
- Collaborate with internal teams on projects and client needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy, Real Estate, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in oil & gas, land, or mineral management
- Understanding of leases, titles, or division order concepts preferred
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
