Opportunity for an experienced Mining Engineer to lead mine planning and support quarry operations, reserve management, and continuous improvement at a large cement manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement mine plans in cooperation with Corporate Mining personnel.
Perform GPS quarry surveys and maintain accurate mine mapping.
Monitor and update mineral reserves.
Partner with the Quality Department.
Support permitting, environmental compliance, and regulatory activities.
Optimize mobile equipment utilization through field studies and performance analysis.
Train quarry personnel on mining plans and operational best practices.
Monitor and improve mining key performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare internal and external mining reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or Geology.
Two to five years of experience as a Mining Engineer or Mining Manager in an open pit mining operation.
Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Surpac Mining Software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
AutoCAD experience is a plus.
