Picture your first hour on shift: you gear up, review the plan, and start with a safety walk-through of your area—because compliance with federal mining regulations is step one. From there, you’ll move between production lines and plant assets, keeping power flowing and controls responsive so essential U.S. industries keep moving.

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems across the site, including motors, generators, starters, breakers, conduit, wiring, lighting, and control systems.
Execute routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and drive systems; flag and document equipment issues.
Use voltage meters, meggers, and diagnostic tools to pinpoint faults and verify system performance.
Install new electrical equipment during construction, upgrades, and replacements.
Support mechanical work as needed: isolate and lock out drives, disconnect motor leads, and prep equipment for safe teardown.
Operate mobile equipment when required, following MSHA task training and safety procedures.
Keep work areas clean and free of hazards; commit to housekeeping that prevents slips, trips, and falls.
Maintain a complete set of required tools within 90 days of assignment (tool list provided upon hire).
