Overview SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector. We are seeking a Mining/Ventilation Engineer.Responsibilities Client Support: Provide expert advisory services to clients on mine ventilation design, optimization, and safety best practicesLead and support technical studies, audits, and due diligence reviews related to ventilation and air qualityPrepare clear, concise technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for clients and stakeholdersCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams on feasibility studies, operational improvements, and expansion projectsSupport business development efforts, including proposal writing and client relationship managementVentilation Engineering: Design and evaluate mine ventilation systems for underground and/or surface operationsDevelop and analyze ventilation models using industry-standard software (e.g., Ventsim, Ventgraph)Conduct site visits to perform ventilation surveys, airflow measurements, and system assessmentsIdentify and mitigate risks related to dust, diesel emissions, heat stress, and hazardous gasesRecommend and support implementation of ventilation improvements and infrastructure upgradesSafety & Regulatory Compliance: Advise clients on compliance with applicable health and safety regulations (e.g., MSHA, OSHA, and international standards as applicable)Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and incident reviews related to ventilation and mine safetyDevelop and review safety procedures, ventilation management plans, and emergency response strategiesSupport audits and inspections, providing actionable recommendations to improve safety performanceBachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field3+ years of relevant experience in mine ventilation and/or mine safety (consulting experience preferred)Proficiency with ventilation modeling softwareStrong understanding of mine safety regulations and industry best practicesProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain in the future (preferred)Benefits An attractive compensation package.Diversity of projects and clients within a non-hierarchical consultancy environment.Opportunity to purchase shares in the company; the SRK Group is an independent group, owned by its employees.EEO SRK Consulting (U.S.), Inc. is an equal opportunity employer, including veterans and persons with disabilities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
