Job Description & Summary

The Opportunity

As a Minneapolis Assurance Senior Associate - Health Industries, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating compliance with regulations, assessing governance, and risk management processes. Within our Assurance practice, you will focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, enhancing the credibility and reliability of information for various stakeholders. As a Senior Associate, you will build meaningful client connections, manage and inspire others, and navigate increasingly complex situations. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality work while embracing ambiguity and using these moments as opportunities for growth.

In this role, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether financial statements are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error. You will issue auditor reports that include your professional opinion, contributing to the integrity of financial information. Your work will involve using a broad range of tools and methodologies to generate new ideas and solve problems, interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations, and upholding professional and technical standards. This position offers a chance to deepen your skills and understanding of the business context, making a significant impact within the Health Industries sector.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting independent and objective assessments of financial statements and internal controls to enhance credibility and reliability
  • Evaluating compliance with regulations and assessing governance and risk management processes
  • Obtaining reasonable assurance about the accuracy of financial statements to identify potential misstatements
  • Building meaningful client connections and managing client relationships effectively
  • Navigating complex situations to grow personal brand and deepen technical skills
  • Anticipating the needs of teams and clients to deliver quality work
  • Utilizing critical thinking to break down complex concepts and generate insights
  • Upholding professional and technical standards, including compliance with PwC guidance and independence requirements
  • Interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations for client engagements
  • Mentoring junior team members and guiding them in professional development

What You Must Have

  • At least a Bachelor''s degree
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment.

What Sets You Apart

  • Preference for a Bachelor''s degree in at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting
  • At least one of the following: Current pursuit of or an active CPA license
  • Demonstrating proficiency in Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards
  • Utilizing auditing methodologies to enhance client service engagements
  • Excelling in data analysis and interpretation for informed decision-making
  • Navigating complex financial transactions within the health industries sector
  • Developing insights through critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Travel Requirements

Job Posting End Date

The salary range for this position is: $72,000 - $184,440. For residents of Washington state the salary range for this position is: $72,000 - $212,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual''s skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
