This position is with MIO Partners, Inc. a wholly-owned subsidiary of McKinsey & Company, Inc. MIO Partners Inc. is seeking an MIO Senior QA Engineer in New York, NY. Analyze work alongside our developers, architects, and other QA Engineers to develop and execute effective testing strategies and test plans for various projects that improve the experience, efficiency, and performance of MIO's Client service and Advisory applications. Work directly with developers, quants, database admins, DevOps, and business project managers to test and advise on the quality of our applications, responsible for assessing software quality through manual and automated testing, creating, and executing test cases, finding and reporting bugs and glitches in our applications, and ultimately, ensuring that our products, applications, and systems work correctly and meet user expectations. Support DevOps team to establish continuous integration for all environment and analyze impact of applications with new requirements through technical specifications and provide inputs to scrum master and business analyst. Maintain test repositories of manual and automation test cases in JIRA, Squash and version control tools to integrate with AWS Code Commit/Code. Scheduling EventBridge. Deploy pipelines to maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system. Integration and System testing between vendor (SaaS) and internal system. Work collaboratively with others in IT where required to help troubleshoot production issues, pre/post release application checkouts, and attend meetings and sessions during the full life cycle of system development projects: generating test ideas through brainstorming during requirements gathering, application/system design, data modeling sessions, coding, delivery, support of our automation frameworks, and enhancements through an agile/scrum process. Collaborate to shape the future of our software quality and testing architecture/frameworks. Identify and assess a range of automation testing tools to find the most suitable one for MIO Application landscape and technology stack. Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of MIO applications. Raise the bar on our software delivery through automated performance and functional check. Organize with end users, business analysts, and other architects and developers following a scrum methodology. Develop, maintain, and enhance new and existing test scripts for use by our QA teams, Mobile testing validation using TestFlight(iOS), Browser Stack. Telecommuting permitted. Qualified applicants for this position must have a minimum of a Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field or foreign degree equivalent, and minimum of two (2) years of experience with software development life cycle and software testing. Experience must include: Working in the following environments: Windows, Linux, AWS, SQL Server, MySQL, Jenkins, SVN, PyCharm IDE, Jira, API, Confluence; Writing high performing SQL queries; handling data across various sources including: SQL server and Excel; performing Automation Testing using the Python, Selenium, Mobile App testing in iOS and Android platforms; performing Security patch, tool upgrade testing, production release using Jenkins; Preparing Test Plans, Design Test Strategy, Estimation, Test Execution of Functional, Integration, System, Regression, UAT and tracking end to end process till the end of test life cycle; Working with backend validation testing by executing database queries in SQL Server, MYSQL, and Oracle.
