Miscellaneous Metals Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in miscellaneous metals fabrication. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating projects involving stairs, railings, ladders, platforms, structural supports, and other miscellaneous metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and bids for miscellaneous metals fabrication projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Perform material and quantity takeoffs
• Price materials, fabrication, labor, finishing, delivery, and installation
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Prepare proposals and detailed estimates
• Work closely with sales, project management, detailing, and fabrication teams
• Identify potential cost impacts, exclusions, and project risks
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience estimating miscellaneous metals or similar fabrication
• Strong understanding of miscellaneous metals fabrication and installation
• Experience with stairs, railings, ladders, platforms, and structural/miscellaneous steel preferred
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Strong understanding of material, labor, and fabrication costs
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
