Metalcrafters NC is hiring a Miscellaneous Steel Erector to join our growing installation team. This role is critical in the field, ensuring our custom-fabricated products are installed safely, accurately, and to the highest standards.

• Install and assemble miscellaneous steel components (stairs, handrails, ladders, platforms, etc.)
• Read and interpret blueprints and installation drawings
• Rig, hoist, and position materials safely on job sites
• Perform field welding and bolting to secure components
• Ensure proper alignment, fit, and finish of all installations
• Operate equipment including reach lifts, scissor lifts, and man lifts
• Use tools such as torches, grinders, plasma cutters, and power tools
• Follow all job site safety standards and OSHA requirements
• Work closely with team members to meet project deadlines
• Utilize the Metalcrafters app for job tracking, notes, and accountability

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with Real ID
• Experience in steel erection or metal installation
• Proficiency with power tools, torches, and fabrication equipment
• Welding experience (Stick and MIG) or equivalent field experience
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor environment
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to think quickly and problem solve
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Experience operating reach lifts, scissor lifts, and man lifts
• Background in miscellaneous metals or structural installation
• Organized and capable of handling multiple tasks
• Reliable and punctual—ready to work on time every day
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening (periodic updates required)
