Mission-Critical EHS Specialist (Data Center Construction)
Location: Fairless Hills, PA (onsite) | Term: 12-month 1099 contract | Start: Immediate
Compensation: $50–$52/hour (1099) + $500 weekly housing allowance if you reside more than 75 miles from site.

A day in the life
- Serve as the owner’s representative and the on-the-ground “eyes and ears” for a mission-critical construction site.
- Coach craft and supervision to build safety ownership—be a Safety Coach, not a Safety Cop.
- Lead hazard identification and risk assessments; review safe work method statements and JSAs.
- Oversee high-voltage work practices, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70E and effective Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Conduct incident investigations and post-event root cause analyses; drive corrective actions.
- Maintain EHS management system elements aligned to ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 and regional regulations.
- Produce clear daily documentation and weekly timesheets using digital tools; issue concise reports to the Owner/Client and the GC.
- Be onsite Monday–Friday for 8-hour shifts; no weekend work anticipated.
What you bring
- Mission-critical experience is required, with 7+ years in data center construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety preferred; alternatively, 10+ years of construction safety experience if you do not have a degree and/or data center background.
- High-voltage exposure preferred; NFPA 70E knowledge required.
- OSHA 500/510 required; BCSP CHST preferred.
- Fluency in the local language and strong proficiency in English.
- In-depth understanding of regional H&S regulations and competency with ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 systems.
- Proven strength in risk assessment, method statements, and post-incident root cause analysis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with Owners/Clients and General Contractors.
Berwick, PA role – additional criteria
Candidates interested in the Berwick, Pennsylvania opportunity should meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s in Environmental Health & Safety plus 3 years of full-time construction safety management experience; or
- A nationally recognized safety credential (e.g., US: CSP, CIH, ASP, CHST; Canada: CRSP, CCOHS) and 5 years of full-time construction safety management; or
- In the US, a current OSHA 500 (or Canadian equivalent) and 6 years of full-time construction safety management.
Schedule and locations
- Work hours: Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week; no weekends.
- Primary opening: Fairless Hills, PA (onsite).
