Picture your Monday morning on a hyperscale data center site: permits are pulled, crews gather for a toolbox talk, and you—serving as the owner’s on-site safety representative—walk the job with a coaching mindset. You spot risks early, guide contractors toward safer methods, and turn regulations into practical, field-ready actions. That’s the heartbeat of this 12‑month assignment.
Contract snapshot
- Engagement: 12‑month, on‑site, 1099 contract
- Compensation:$50–$52/hour
- Housing allowance:$500/week if you reside outside a 75‑mile radius
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, on site, 8–10 hours/day
- Start: Immediate
- Location: Lithia Springs, GA (Mission‑Critical Construction)
Your day-to-day impact
- Serve as the owner’s eyes and ears on site—personable, steady, and solutions‑oriented
- Lead proactive coaching with GCs and subs—be a Safety Coach, not a Safety Cop
- Oversee high‑risk activities (including high‑voltage work) and verify NFPA 70E practices
- Facilitate and review JSAs, method statements, permits, and LOTO procedures
- Conduct hazard risk assessments and post‑incident root cause analyses
- Ensure conformance with ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 and local H&S regulations
- Produce clear daily documentation and submit weekly timesheets using modern digital tools
- Communicate crisply in writing and conversation with the Owner/Client and the Project GC
What you bring
- Mission‑critical (data center) experience is required
- 7+ years in data center environments; or10+ years in construction safety if no data center background/degree
- Bachelor’s degree in health & safety preferred
- High‑voltage exposure preferred; NFPA 70E familiarity expected
- OSHA 500/510; BCSP CHST preferred
- Fluency in the local language and proficiency in English
- In‑depth knowledge of regional H&S standards and regulations
- Competency with occupational H&S management systems (ISO 45001; OHSAS 18001)
