Role Description The Mitigation Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, AL, responsible for assessing property damage and implementing mitigation strategies to stabilize and protect structures. Day-to-day tasks include performing on-site inspections, documenting damage, setting up and monitoring equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers, and coordinating hazard mitigation activities to prevent further loss. The role involves communicating with property owners, project managers, and insurance representatives to explain mitigation plans and updates. The Mitigation Specialist will follow safety protocols, maintain accurate records and reports, and collaborate with restoration and construction teams to ensure timely, high-quality service. This position requires working in varied environments, including emergency situations and occasional after-hours or weekend assignments.
