Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mitigation Technician to join our restoration team. The ideal candidate will assist in the mitigation of fire, water, mold, and other property damage by performing essential cleanup, demolition, and drying procedures. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency water, fire, and mold damage calls
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers
• Perform demolition, extraction, and cleaning of affected areas
• Safely handle and dispose of debris and hazardous materials
• Document job progress with photos and notes using company software
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment in clean and operational condition
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards (IICRC, OSHA)
• Assist with mold remediation and odor control procedures
• Be available for on-call shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience in water/fire damage restoration preferred but not required
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) are a plus
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, attics, and crawlspaces
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and emergency-driven environment
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and certification programs
