Vision System Operator (Machine Operator)

Salary range: $42-65K DOE
Job Responsibilities:
Operation and inspection:
Run automated or manual measurement programs to perform first-article.
Use the vision system's capabilities, including optical, laser, and touch probes, to inspect intricate shapes and tight tolerances.
Analyze measurement data and create comprehensive inspection reports, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and non-conformance documents.
Identify and resolve program errors, measurement discrepancies, and system performance problems.
Work within quality management systems like ISO 9001 to ensure all inspections are compliant.
Perform supplementary dimensional inspections with manual tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, etc.
Job Requirements:
3-5+ years of hands-on experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
Associate’s degree in a technical field like Manufacturing Technology, Metrology, or a related discipline is preferred. An equivalent completed apprenticeship is also suitable.
Experience working as a quality inspector is highly relevant.
Experience programming and operating Mitutoyo vision measuring systems is a plus.
Competency with standard precision measuring hand tools.
General understanding of personal computers and the Microsoft Office suite is required for documentation and reporting.
Attention to details ensuring measurement accuracy on tight-tolerance parts.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the measurement process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with teams.
Ability to work effectively with engineers and other personnel.
