What you will be doing

  • Train to safely operate, and / or operate, a ready-mix truck in urban and rural settings, including tight construction sites
  • Complete routine equipment maintenance, including daily unit cleanliness and reporting minor mechanical issues
  • Help maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free areas in and around the plant
  • Perform all work safely and in compliance with company safety protocols
  • Maintain compliance with DOT, BURNCO, and regulatory requirements

 What we would like from you

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B)
  • Minimum 1 year of general commercial driving experience or ready-mix / mixer driving experience
  • Ability to successfully complete MVR, background check, drug and alcohol testing, and physical assessment requirements
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including Saturdays, based on business needs
  • Flexibility to support other BURNCO plants as required
  • Strong commitment to safety, customer service, teamwork, and professionalism

 Location and other key details:

  • This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Anna site
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
  • This is a safety sensitive position, offers of employment are conditional on successful completion of fitness for duty assessments, including drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background check
  • Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions and challenging outdoor environments
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly sits, stands, walks, types, and occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs
  • Occasional travel to multiple BURNCO sites; must be comfortable working in an industrial setting with PPE
