Primary responsibility is to safely and professionally drive Concrete Mixer to work sites and discharge load. This is in a variety of settings and conditions including uneven ground, and may require unloading and attaching extension chutes weighing thirty to fifty pounds to end of primary chute. A Ready-mix truck driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ready-mix truck used for delivery of products connected to the Company's ready-mix concrete operation. Inspects general conditions of Mixer truck, tire pressure, fluid levels, adherer's to road ability standards and accordance with DOT regulations. Completes driving logs in accordance with DOT regulations. Driver to maintain safe operation and clean appearance complying with operational policies, and procedures. Cleans truck interior and exterior. Must be self motivated, safety conscious, and have a positive can do attitude.

1. Safely Operate & drive ready-mix concrete truck to deliver ready-mix to construction and customer sites, as specified, in a safe and efficient manner, obeying applicable laws and following dispatch instructions. Maintain communication with Dispatcher as necessary regarding deliveries.

2. Observe, check, and assist in loading or unloading truck. Estimate slump of concrete, distinguish the color difference between mixes, and proper mix of one that is too sandy or too rocky. Check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete as required. Ensure proper materials are loaded in a safe manner and obtain proper signatures as required. Deliver ready-mix to job site as instructed. Rinse out drum and chutes, and dump slurry as required by established, keep equipment in acceptable condition of cleanliness.

4. Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle, investigate abnormalities, and perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs.

5. Maintain operator logs, forms, and records in accordance with company policy and Department of Transportation regulations.

6. Complete written report of problems or necessary repairs and forward to maintenance personnel. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.

7. Maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.

8. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.

This is a full time, hourly position, Eligibility for benefits will begin after 90 days: including medical, dental, vision, and holiday pay.

REQUIREMENTS:

Class A License with Tank Endorsement or Class B with Air Brakes and Tankers

Mixer Driving experience preferred but not required (Mixer training available for motivated individuals whom already have a Commercial license)

Must be available to work up to 6-days per week, up to 10 -12 hours per day and Saturday's,

Closed Sunday's

Must be Punctual

Must be able to pass DOT Drug and Physical

Class A License with Tank Endorsement or Class B with Air Brakes and Tankers

Clean Driving Record ( NO RECKLESS OR CHARGEABLE ACCIDENTS IN THE PAST YEAR)

No Points on Driving Record

No DUI's

Must to be able to comply with instructions and follow directions

Must be able to perform other job responsibilities as assigned

Must be able to navigate effectively,

Must be able to read, write, & speak English

Must be able to add & subtract two digit numbers

Pleasant Attitude / Team Player

Work well with Dispatcher and Customers on Job Sites

Must be able to lift 50 -- 100 lbs.

Able to climb ladders

Be able to perform Daily Truck Inspection

Be organized with paperwork - Vehicle Inspection Books and Work Tickets

Maintain personal appearance in a neat & clean manner

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
