What you will be doing
- Train to safely operate, and / or operate, a ready-mix truck in urban and rural settings, including tight construction sites
- Complete routine equipment maintenance, including daily unit cleanliness and reporting minor mechanical issues
- Help maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free areas in and around the plant
- Perform all work safely and in compliance with company safety protocols
- Maintain compliance with DOT, BURNCO, and regulatory requirements
What we would like from you
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License
- Minimum 1 year of general commercial driving experience or ready-mix / mixer driving experience
- Ability to successfully complete MVR, background check, drug and alcohol testing, and physical assessment requirements
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including Saturdays, based on business needs
- Flexibility to support other BURNCO plants as required
- Strong commitment to safety, customer service, teamwork, and professionalism
Location and other key details:
- This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Krugerville site
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
- This is a safety sensitive position, offers of employment are conditional on successful completion of fitness for duty assessments, including drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background check
- Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions and challenging outdoor environments
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly sits, stands, walks, types, and occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs
- Occasional travel to multiple BURNCO sites; must be comfortable working in an industrial setting with PPE
