Job Description

As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you will help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You will deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Responsibilities:

• Work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced agile environment
• Use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while managing the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for clients
• Deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful
• Work with clients to use data for good

Requirements:

• 11 years of experience managing complex technical projects in enterprise data architecture, Databricks administration, and cloud-based data platforms
• Experience in Databricks platform administration, including workspace management, cluster optimization, and Unity Catalog integration for secure data governance
• Experience in ETL pipeline development, Delta Lake architecture, and data lakehouse optimization for DoD analytics and mission-critical data workflows
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) role-based access control (RBAC) and cloud security best practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Ability to support Databricks platform administration and enterprise data architecture for DoD data-driven projects
• Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, or Engineering Management
• Nice to have: experience in Python, SQL, NoSQL, Apache Spark, Databricks, SQL, Terraform, and cloud-native data services for large-scale data processing and analytics
• Experience with Cloud security, RBAC, and compliance with DoD data policies across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, or Engineering Management

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000.00 to $176,000.00 annualized USD. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.

Work Model

Our people-first culture prioritizes the benefits of flexibility and collaboration, whether that happens in person or remotely. If this position is listed as remote or hybrid, you will periodically work from a Booz Allen or client site facility. If this position is listed as onsite, you will work with colleagues and clients in person as needed for the specific role.
