They adhere to established standards and practices while conducting quantitative and qualitative clinical laboratory studies based on physician requests. Their duties include analyzing blood, body fluids, and tissues to generate data used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Medical Technologist (MLS) Performs lab analyses to fulfill physician requests for diagnosis and treatment. Adheres to standards and practices, conducting both quantitative and qualitative tests. Accepts additional responsibilities from the lab director. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and visitors, considering their unique needs.

Minimum Requirements
Education
Associate degree in Laboratory Science or
Associate degree in Laboratory Science with ASCP certification or

License/Registration/Certifications
Registered with ASCP for ASCP certification roles only
Experience
1-3 years' experience in a hospital laboratory.
