    Overview
    We are a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through inclusive programs, leadership development, and community engagement. Through partnerships, volunteer networks, and strategic fundraising, we build stronger, more inclusive communities across Minnesota.

    The State Director serves as the senior leader for the Minnesota market, responsible for overall strategy, revenue performance, program execution, team leadership, and community presence. This individual leads a four-person team and owns the statewide revenue and operating budget. This role calls for a hands-on fundraiser with strong Twin Cities market knowledge and the ability to cultivate corporate sponsors, major donors, and foundation partners while leading and developing a high-performing team.

    Scope & Responsibilities
    • Develop and execute the annual statewide strategic plan aligned with national priorities and local growth opportunities
    • Own and drive all revenue streams across events, major gifts, corporate giving, and foundations
    • Lead Champion of the Year, the primary revenue driver, including sponsor cultivation, committee management, and hands-on execution
    • Lead Friendship Walk and grow peer-to-peer and foundation revenue
    • Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, corporate sponsors, and foundation partners across the Twin Cities corporate community
    • Lead, coach, and manage a four-person statewide team
    • Build and steward relationships with staff, board, donors, and volunteers
    • Ensure consistent, high-quality program implementation and volunteer engagement
    • Oversee state budget management, forecasting, reporting, and operational infrastructure
    • Serve as the primary public ambassador for the organization throughout Minnesota

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
    • 4 to 7+ years of progressive fundraising experience with demonstrated revenue growth
    • 3 to 5+ years of team leadership and supervisory experience
    • Experience leading signature fundraising events and cultivating major gifts
    • Established or transferable network in the Twin Cities, with credibility to open doors with corporate sponsors and foundations
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Comfortable engaging with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
    • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required for events
    • Access to reliable transportation
