First Steps is Missouri’s Early Intervention program that provides services to families with children from birth to three years old who have developmental delays or disabilities. Benchmark Human Services’ St. Louis office is seeking a qualified, compassionate individual to join our team as an Admin Assistant  to provide support to the First Steps program and staff to ensure successful completion of cluster activities, data entry is complete and accurate, files are maintained accurately, and communication is effective with all customers.

Schedule:  Part-time, 10 hours per week, with hours scheduled between 8am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:
  • Collect, organize, maintain, and enter data entry authorizations in system. 
  • Ensure documentation submitted to SPOE is properly processed and filed. 
  • Assist providers to resolve billing concerns. Answer phone calls. 
  • Complete referral forms for phone referrals. 
  • Set-up child profiles upon referral. 
  • Create and maintain consumer files as required. 
  • Receive, process, and disseminate consumer information. 
  • Communicate effectively with staff and consumers to ensure all needs are met. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance required.
  • 1 year of Early Intervention Program experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications.
