Summary of Position

The Mobile Clinic Coordinator oversees all services provided by the mobile unit. The coordinator helps ensure that high-quality, cost-efficient, culturally sensitive services comply with all federal, state, and local agency policies and procedures, as well as APHS policies.

The MCC collaborates with the clinical team to ensure efficient, effective daily operations and productivity across all APHS service lines. The Mobile Clinic Coordinator primarily oversees operational efficiency, including direct supervision of the Mobile Clinic Patient Advocates.

The Mobile Clinic Coordinator leads and facilitates key process improvements in patient access measures, registration clinic flow, population-based quality improvement, and patient experience across all service lines offered on the mobile unit. The MCC also serves as a liaison between community partners and the health center. This position requires flexible hours (including evenings) to support and reach our communities.

Minimum Qualifications

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively develop and nurture relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. Must be able to travel with a personal car.

  • Experience: 2 years of related work and management experience preferred
  • Additional skills required: Knowledge of health and human services infrastructure, moderate computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Additional skills preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in public health, health education, communications or related program. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Works with the Community Health Program Administrator to optimize staffing, appointment schedules, workflows, policies, and procedures as needed to meet goals.

2.

Sets up and takes down mobile medical clinics at APHS community sites.

3.

Directs, plans, organizes, supervises, and coordinates services for the CRCHC Mobile Unit across all CRCHC sites.

4.

Responsible for mobile clinic patient registration, including accurate collection of demographic information and data entry into the EHR.

5.

Monitors and ensures that mobile unit operational performance goals are maintained.

6.

Assists in coordinating outreach activities, including affiliated projects.

7.

Disseminates information to all community partners regarding clinic services and state and local public services.

8.

Ensures excellent patient experience and that patient complaints and grievances are addressed and resolved in a timely, responsive manner.

9.

Ensures communication of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures up and down the chain of command through meetings, huddles, and other forms of communication.

10.

Participate in health center/clinic staff meetings to provide input.

11.

Develops, discovers, and attends community events to promote coverage options and the organization's mission and services.

12.

Represents the company professionally and positively to enhance and promote the organization's core values and mission.

Works independently, exercises independent judgment in problem-solving, and determines appropriate actions during emergency/critical situations.

14.

Participate in quality improvement activities by initiating or contributing to monitoring, measuring, analyzing, improving, and/or controlling program goals, objectives, and services.

15.

Performs other duties as assigned.
