Mobile Crane Technician / Mechanic

Crane Monsters is one of the Best Used Crane dealers in the U.S, we’re based out of the Houston, we buy, sell and repair mobile cranes. We’re looking for a Crane Technician/Mechanic to work on our own equipment as well as customers cranes. 99% of the Work is done in our Shop, so we offer great work/life balance.

As an Experienced Crane Tech - you Will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of various mobile cranes. Must have experience as a mechanic with electrical and hydraulics.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum 5 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician
• Operates and inspects cranes in order to diagnose defects
• Demonstrates working knowledge of CANBUS, LMI Systems, Hydraulic Suspensions, Electrical Systems.
• Examines parts for damage or excessive wear
• Reads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
• Perform thorough inspections
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
• Properly fills out working reports, hour's reports, time sheets, hour's overviews and expense reports
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant driving experience
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Willingness to travel by land and air

Preferred Qualifications:

• History of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically RTs, All Terrains and Truck Cranes.
• Sets a positive example in punctuality and professional demeanor by respectful communication with all levels of staff, keeping work areas/Field Service Trucks clean & orderly plus promoting safety regulations and all other company programs
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs
• Basic computer skills
• Manufacture approved training/certifications preferred but not required
