As a Mobile Crisis Specialist Intern, you will work with the team to assess, evaluate, and perform crisis intervention techniques, and develop crisis plans for continuation of services for individual clients in the community.As an intern with Santé, you will gain a comprehensive introduction to behavioral health. On the job training and professional development will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You will also have direct mentorship from a senior member of the team to help you make the most of your internship.If you are passionate about creating positive change in your community, we encourage you to apply and join our team!WhatYou'llDo:Perform behavioral health assessments, providing a diagnostic impression with the supervision of an LCSW-C or other equally licensed mental health professionalEffectively communicate clients' needs while making internal agency or community referralsDemonstrate the capacity to work with a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, dual diagnosis, and geriatricComplete clinical and non-clinical documentation in an accurate and thorough mannerDemonstrate a working knowledge of the medical implications when working with substance abuse consumersKnowledge and familiarity with community resources, both mental health and non-mental healthServe as a liaison for collaboration with other involved parties, including families, friends, and community partnersEducate individuals about mental health, substance abuse, available community resources, and the agency's servicesAbide by all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to confidentiality and protected health informationWhat We Require:Must be currently enrolled in master's level degree program in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field of studyAt least one (1) year of professional experience (experience working within a crisis environment preferred)WhatYou'llGet:Stipend ranging from $500-$3000 per semester, based on merit and graduate levelWe believe that diversity of background and experience makes for better problem-solving and collaboration, which is why we are dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team.
