Mobile Developer — Android / iOS

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Mobile Developer to join our engineering team and help build, maintain, and improve high-quality mobile applications.

The primary focus of this role will be Android development, with the ability to contribute to our iOS application as needed. This is a hands-on opportunity for a developer who is looking to grow their skills while contributing to real-world mobile products.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in mobile development, writes clean and maintainable code, is comfortable learning new technologies, and works well in a collaborative, onsite environment.

Responsibilities

· Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications, with Android as the primary platform.

· Build and maintain features from requirements through testing and production release.

· Contribute to iOS features, enhancements, and bug fixes as needed.

· Work closely with designers, QA engineers, and backend developers.

· Integrate REST APIs, third-party services, analytics, authentication, push notifications, and other mobile services.

· Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs, crashes, and performance issues.

· Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.

· Help improve application performance, reliability, security, and user experience.

· Participate in technical planning, feature estimation, and architecture discussions.

· Learn and adopt new mobile technologies and development practices.

Required Qualifications

· 1–4 years of professional software or mobile development experience, including internships or significant project experience.

· Experience developing Android applications.

· Experience with Kotlin and the Android SDK.

· Familiarity with modern Android development, including Jetpack and/or Jetpack Compose.

· Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, asynchronous programming, and mobile application architecture.

· Some professional or project-based experience with iOS development using Swift.

· Familiarity with Git and standard software development workflows.

· Understanding of software testing and debugging practices.

· Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

· Ability to work effectively in an onsite team environment in McKinney, Texas.

· Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with SwiftUI and modern iOS development.

· Experience with Jetpack Compose.

· Experience with Firebase or similar mobile services.

· Experience with push notifications, deep linking, analytics, and crash reporting.

· Familiarity with mobile CI/CD tools and automated testing.

· Experience publishing or maintaining applications through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

· Experience working with Agile/Scrum development practices.

Work Location

This is an onsite position in McKinney, Texas. Candidates should be comfortable working from our McKinney office as part of an in-person engineering team.
