Position Overview:
As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel-powered commercial vehicles. From routine inspections to complex engine diagnostics and repairs, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other components of commercial vehicles and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify any issues or potential problems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Document all maintenance and repair work accurately and thoroughly.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding the status of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and related systems.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Compensation & Benefits:
- We Offer Competitive wages, $35 - $45/hr. based on experience.
- Benefits package includes health, dental, vision, PTO, and Paid Holidays, company vehicle to take home and gas card.
Shift:
Days, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday. Should be flexible to be on an on-call rotation.
