About this Job

The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric care are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana

ELMHS is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated individual to join the team as a Mobile Equipment Operator, where they will utilize their skills in driving a truck/van to deliver items!

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

In this role, you will:

  • Drives truck/van to deliver such items as medical supplies, housekeeping supplies, etc., to the patient care and support service buildings.
  • Delivers miscellaneous office supplies, etc., to all the campus buildings.
  • Delivers packages for clients that are delivered to the warehouse to direct care/support staff as needed
  • Unloads truck, delivering merchandise to the warehouse. Ensures quantities delivered match the quantities ordered.
  • Operates forklift and electric pallet jack as needed.
  • Maintains and ensures proper tracking of large items.
  • Keeps stock rotated to ensure older items are issued first.
  • Rearranges stock as necessary to make room for new merchandise. Ensures proper temperature is maintained in the refrigerator and freezer.
  • Responsible for picking up and delivering merchandise to surrounding areas, such as Baton Rouge, Jackson, etc.
  • Responsible for going to various locations (LPAA, Villa Feliciana Medical Complex, etc.) for pickup/delivery of equipment.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid, unencumbered drivers license.

Career Progression: This position may be filled as Mobile Equipment Operator 1 or Mobile Equipment Operator 2 based on experience.

Division: Within the Fiscal Department in the Warehouse at ELMHS, located in Jackson, LA.
