Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Facility Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Nashville, Tennessee .OverviewThe main function of this role is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple systems and facilities. The engineer should demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area such as electrical, HVAC, piping/plumbing, or central utility plant operations, while being multi-skilled in others.ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, monitoring repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.Travel between multiple facilities to ensure proper functioning of all systems.Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance, and general upkeep.Maintain equipment by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts to optimize HVAC performance.Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.Follow departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.Perform periodic checks of tools and instruments inventory.Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.Follow all safety procedures, ensure good housekeeping, recognize hazards, and propose safety measures.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.5-7 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.Ability to analyze operations of commercial or industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and take corrective actions.EPA 608 Type II Certification.Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.Valid driver's license.A Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license is not required for this role.Preferred QualificationsEPA 608 Universal Certification.Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.This is a full-time opportunity based in Nashville, Tennessee, with standard working hours from 8am to 5pm, with after-hours for emergencies.Background Check and Drug Screen may be required.Talascend is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
