Job Summary:
The Center for Health Equity's Mobile Food Center (MFC) provides weekly grocery distribution to the Cobbs Creek and Kingsessing neighbourhoods. Groceries include fresh produce, dairy, meat, and eggs and are distributed out of a food truck on a 5-week rotation among elementary schools in Cobbs Creek and Kingsessing. The MFC driver would be responsible for the weekly pick-up of the fresh produce from the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market, and delivery to the MFC location. The MFC driver would also assist in market set-up and distribution before returning the MFC van to it's parking location. The MFC operates weekly on Thursdays at 3pm requiring produce to be picked up and on location by 2pm. Also, the 1st Tuesday of every month, the MFC operates an additional day at 3pm.
Job Responsibilities:
-Conduct weekly pick-up for Mobile Food Center (MFC) operations
-Picks up MFC vehicle from *** location
-Picks up produce from Philadelphia Wholesale Market and delivers to MFC location
-After distribution, returns vehicle to the *** location it is stored.
-Maintains all necessary paperwork for the vehicles and for the people who are transported.
-Support MFC distribution efforts.
-Support set up of MFC (unloading food, setting up table, etc.)
-Participates in distribution of food.
-Supports the breakdown of MFC (trash collection, box breakdown, loading signage/tables, etc...)
