About the Role:
We’re looking for a compassionate, skilled Mobile Pet Groomer to join our team! As a mobile groomer, you’ll travel to clients’ homes, providing high-quality grooming services directly from our fully equipped grooming vehicle. This role is perfect for a self-motivated animal lover who enjoys independence, flexibility, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the company’s mobile grooming van to scheduled client appointments.
- Bathe, trim, and style pets (primarily dogs and/or cats) according to breed standards and client preferences.
- Maintain a calm and safe environment for all animals during grooming.
- Inspect pets for signs of illness, skin issues, or parasites, and communicate findings to the pet owner.
- Sanitize tools, equipment, and the grooming van after each appointment.
- Manage appointment scheduling, client communications, and transaction processing.
- Provide excellent customer service and build lasting client relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience as a professional groomer (certification preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong animal handling skills and gentle demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift pets (up to [weight limit] lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pet Grooming Certification (e.g., NDGAA, IPG, or equivalent).
- Experience with mobile grooming or van-based grooming operations.
- Comfort with using scheduling or mobile POS systems.
