Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Mobile Heavy Equipment & Forklift Service Technicians for a projects located in the Forest Grove, OR area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $29-32/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts, heavy equipment, and related machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues
- Service gasoline, diesel, and LPG-powered equipment
- Repair engines, transmissions, differentials, fuel systems, turbochargers, brakes, steering systems, clutches, wheel bearings, and other major components
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic tools
- Safely raise and support heavy equipment using hydraulic jacks, hoists, and shop equipment
- Perform basic fabrication and welding as needed
- Inspect and adjust safety devices, guards, and other critical components
- Identify additional repair opportunities and document warrantable repairs
- Complete accurate work orders, parts lists, and timecards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Keep assigned service truck clean, stocked, and professionally maintained
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of mechanic experience required
- All tools for the trade
- Previous forklift or heavy equipment repair experience preferred
- Experience working on mobile heavy machinery is highly desirable
- Knowledge of gas, diesel, and LPG fuel systems
- Basic welding and fabrication experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to operate field service trucks, cranes, and lifting equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
