What you’ll tackle

• Field diagnosis, repair, and maintenance across trailer mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• DOT inspections with strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Preventative maintenance scheduling and execution to minimize downtime.
• Detailed documentation of parts used, hours worked, and vehicle condition.
• Safe, efficient operation and care of a service truck.
• Clear communication with the Service Manager and teammates regarding repair status and parts needs.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized mobile work environment per company policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Must-haves

• High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training in diesel, trailer, or heavy equipment repair preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of trailer or heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Track record of diagnosing and resolving complex trailer issues efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
• DOT certification required or ability to obtain.
• Comfort with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and standard shop practices.
• Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage time well.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
