Job Summary:
The Specialty Software Engineer 4 - Mobile Accessibility Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing mobile applications with a strong emphasis on accessibility compliance (WCAG) and user experience. This role requires expertise across both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring applications are accessible, scalable, and aligned with enterprise engineering standards. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions while embedding accessibility and usability into the core development process.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities:
Design and develop mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
Ensure all applications meet WCAG accessibility standards (2.0 / 2.1).
Build and enhance features using:
Swift / SwiftUI (iOS)
Kotlin / Jetpack Compose (Android)
Architect scalable and maintainable mobile solutions.
Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to ensure accessible and intuitive user experiences.
Review code and enforce best practices for mobile and accessibility standards.
Identify and remediate accessibility issues within mobile applications.
Support performance optimization and quality improvements across mobile platforms.
Contribute to enterprise standards, reusable components, and engineering guidelines.
